What are these pieces?

My selected collection of digital illustrations I have chosen are all recreations of pieces I created many years ago when I was in high school, in order to demonstrate the

progression of my skill.

How were these made?

I created these pieces in Procreate, referencing my old paintings, of which they are recreations of. Each of them were sketched, lined, colour blocked and then rendered by hand using a multitude of tools featured in the Procreate app.

How are these relevant?

These illustrations serve not only to show the progression of my artistic skill - but to showcase my ability to create artworks rich in colour, creativity and positivity.

Progression

The progression of my rendering and illustrative skills is

undeniable, even excluding the difference of mediums.

The original paintings were created with Oil paint on Canvas, but the progression of my lighting, composition and shaping is clear when comparing the pieces

Purpose

For these pieces, my purpose was to create a sense of fun and whimsy in my art. Modern design can feel very corporate and lifeless, so showcasing my ability to create engaging and vibrant artworks that create a sense of positivity is crucial in the current design environment we exist within.
